Welcome to my corner of the internet. I always find it the most difficult to write about myself, so let’s start from the beginning…
I grew up north of Boston and was a competitive swimmer for 14 years. I competed at the 2008 U.S Olympic Team Trials and swam at the University of Wisconsin, serving as team captain my senior year while double-majoring in English and Political Science. I retired from swimming in 2010, but I still craved the high intensity training . Running, indoor cycling, circuit training, and boxing have been staples in my routine since hanging up my goggles.
My journey into becoming a fitness professional began while sidelined with a running injury following my first marathon and I found indoor cycling would be the best way to keep endurance up while allowing time to recover. From rider, to desk staff, to instructor, The Handle Bar Indoor Cycling Studio has been my home since October 2014 and I became a Barry's Bootcamp instructor in May 2018.
In addition to the fitness world, I have worked full-time at one of the largest asset managers in the world, working in business development and marketing & communications for past 8 years.
My social media started as a personal account , then it quickly morphed into a space for me to promote my fitness-related ventures . Now, I consider it a space that allows me to create original content and pull together everything I am genuinely passionate about. You will see posts about events that promote human interaction, giving back to the community, ways to live a more sustainable life, the joy teaching fitness classes brings me and usually a post or ten about my dog.
I am glad you’re here and I am looking forward to connecting.
